As a committed supporter of South Africans since 1927, Edblo has a particular soft spot for families dealing with childhood cancer.

With Rainbows and Smiles in the front lines of this battle, Edblo hopes to bring some relief from the sidelines, with our donation of eight Edblo beds to this amazing community based charitable foundation.

Rainbows and Smiles is dedicated to providing emotional, social and financial support to children diagnosed with cancer or a life-threatening illness, and their families and caregivers. Edblo has always worked to provide the best possible sleep to help people rise to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

With the donation of eight single beds to the Rainbows and Smiles facility, we believe this to be a small step on the road to helping a child and their family to be more comfortable during their fight against cancer.

The latest statistics tell us that on average 800 to 1 000 children are newly diagnosed with childhood cancer annually in South Africa.  Experts estimate that around two-thirds of childhood cancers in our country remain unreported, which means that closer to 3000 children every year actually get cancer, so educating the general population is imperative.
