A Mother’s Powa Is Infinite!

Edblo partnership to assist victims of Gender-Based Violence

Edblo has been South Africa’s most-loved bed range for many generations. This success is not only due to the superb quality and durability of our beds, but also thanks to Edblo’s unique understanding of what it means to be South African.

As a Proudly South African brand, it must be acknowledged that our country is struggling with the scourge that is Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

While we are celebrating Mother’s Day this month, it is, unfortunately, true that many of our proud, strong, and beautiful South African mothers face the harsh reality of physical and psychological abuse every day.

As strong as these women are, they also need some additional support and effective and efficient service from the South African Police Service and criminal justice system.

Edblo has partnered with People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) and donated 12 Edblo Classic Support top single mattresses to POWA shelters. We believe that a trusted night’s sleep will help give them the strength to overcome their challenges.

POWA has worked tirelessly for 43 years to make this world a better and safer place for abused women by providing them with shelter, counseling, skills development opportunities, and legal services.

The 12-bed donation will see victims of GBV (both mothers and their children) finally receive a good night’s rest in a safe and comfortable environment.

This also aligns with Edblo and POWA’s hope for a safe and equal society, intolerant of all forms of violence against women and girls in our wonderful South African diversity, where they are treated with respect and dignity and their rights are promoted.

Just as the staff at POWA are changing the lives of GBV survivors one woman at a time, Edblo also wants to remind their loyal client base that they too can play an important part in supporting this cause.

By visiting https://www.powa.co.za/POWA/get-involved/donate-now/ you can make a donation and assist our South African mothers and children who have been victims of GBV.

Please stand with Edblo and help give our mothers back their POWA!
